OVERVIEW
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable Merchandiser to join our team. They will be a key player in a totally new position within the buying department. They will ensure that we have the right products, at the right time, in the right place and in the right quantities. They work closely with the buying team to plan and build the range taking control of stock levels to maximise profit.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the smooth running of daily stock
• Forecasting sales and stock level to achieve sale plans and margin/profit for the department
• Monitoring the department performance and identifying opportunities of risk/loss
• Working closely with NPD to successfully plan product launches
• Evaluate the running’s of your department whilst focusing on lead times and general performance
• Managing the WSSI and supporting trade plans
• Develop and build strong relationships with suppliers
• Regular analysis of department performance to maximise commercial opportunities
• Own and control the net achieved margin
• Through strategic planning and trading of the department manage the intake and OTB to deliver the stock requirements of the business

QUALIFICATIONS & ROLE REQUIRMENTS

The ideal candidate will possess:
• 2-3 years experience in a similar role
• Proven track record of driving a department through creative thinking at a minimum of Junior Merchandiser level
• Previous experience working in the beauty or fashion industry dealing with multiple products
• Awareness of current trends and what is happening in the beauty industry
• Strong organisation skills, able to use initiative and to work in pressurised environment
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers and others at all levels.
• Attention to detail
• Computer literate able to use both word and excel applications to an intermediate/advanced level
• Ability to work effectively to deadlines, thriving on constant change in a fast-paced start up
